Overview ––––

This collaboration with Four Hands spanned two distinct seasonal campaigns, each thoughtfully styled and curated to showcase the brand’s evolving design sensibility. The fall Modern Noir collection offered a moodier, more romantic narrative, while the winter Restorative Space campaign embraced simplicity and calm for a new year’s reset. These campaigns became the perfect stage for blending dramatic design with intentional storytelling, leading to both immediate customer engagement and long-term brand resonance.

For Modern Noir, the goal was to craft an atmosphere of rich, romantic darkness. Think deep velvets, aged oak, and smokey, sensual hues that brought the French-inspired collection to life with a moody, artful flair. The winter Restorative Space campaign, in contrast, drew on Scandinavian minimalism and Japanese wabi-sabi influences. It was about creating calm, centered moments in every frame: large-scale objects, tactile textures, and thoughtful, clean compositions that embodied a sense of peace and rejuvenation as the year turned.

Approach ––––

The process began with a careful balance of inspiration and intentional sourcing. For the Modern Noir campaign, vintage props were selected to complement the drama of the collection, with deep, rich colors and textures that invited a tactile experience. The goal was to create intimate, lived-in moments--a romantic and almost nostalgic aura that resonated with Four Hands' bold, yet accessible design ethos. New food styling techniques were experimented with, incorporating unexpected elements like darker florals and candle-lit vignettes, all designed to push boundaries and add depth to the scenes.

For the winter collection, the shift was noticeable. The Restorative Space campaign embraced simplicity with a refined, Scandinavian-inspired aesthetic. Larger, more sculptural props were chosen to enhance the feeling of space, while wabi-sabi aesthetics were explored, incorporating imperfect, organic objects that grounded the scenes. Where Modern Noir focused on mood and layers, The Restorative Space emphasized clean lines, tranquility, and honoring the everyday beauty in simplicity.

Execution ––––

The stark differences in styling between the two campaigns became even more evident during the shoots. Modern Noirwas all about crafting a sense of drama, with styling that invited the viewer to linger in the moody, velvety textures and shadowy tones. Each scene was designed to capture the essence of the collection--dark, alluring, and full of quiet narrative. From the vintage-inspired props to the new food styling elements (like candles and moody florals), everything was chosen to create moments of discovery.

In contrast, the winter Restorative Space campaign was about embracing minimalism and quiet moments. Soft textures, warm wood tones, and organic forms allowed the designs to breathe and take center stage. The food styling leaned into clean, curated beauty — the use of delicate caviar plating, inviting a calm sophistication. The visuals focused on a sense of peace and renewal, perfectly timed for welcoming a new year, ready to reset and recharge.

Outcome ––––

Both campaigns saw significant success in terms of customer engagement, product interest, and brand visibility. Modern Noir aided a Pinterest initiative that allowed Four Hands to reach a broader audience, with leadership reporting impressive customer reception. The dark, romantic vibe of Modern Noir brought a fresh perspective to Four Hands' usual aesthetic, setting the stage for heightened visibility across digital channels.

Meanwhile, The Restorative Space aligned perfectly with the New Year’s need for renewal and calm. Launching right after the holiday season, it resonated deeply with customers looking to reset and restore their living spaces. The minimalist, restorative aesthetic led to positive press coverage, with the campaign receiving coverage on multiple platforms and driving both social media engagement and deeper connection with the brand’s audience.

By blending both collections' distinct tones--from the dramatic and romantic to the clean and restorative--these campaigns not only elevated Four Hands’ seasonal launches but also demonstrated the brand’s range, attracting a wider audience and generating a lasting, positive impact.
